Quality and Environment Policy

Quality and environment protection are values we care about, being integrated into a durable long-term development strategy of our organization and have to be one of the most important aspects that represent us.

For this reason we have implemented and maintained a quality management system according to the International Standard ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949, as well as an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. These systems are certified by the international organization TÛV RHEINLAND. The activity of our laboratories is aligning to the standard ISO 17025.

We are aware that the quality of our products and services as well as our concern for the environment are essential for our success and we are determined to maintain the consistency for the quality and environmental protection policy, acting permanently for the improvement of our performances in these domains.

For this purpose, we have in view the following principles and action lines:

  • Maintaining and improvement of the Integrated Quality Environment Management System aligned to the standards:

    • ISO 9001 – for all manufactured products,
    • ISO/TS 16949 – for the automotive field products,
    • ISO 14001 – for all products, processes and activities of our company,
    • ISO 17025 – for the activity of our laboratories;

  • documented identification and setting of our quality and environmental objectives and targets, which reflect our costumer’s requirements and expectations as well as the legal settlements and which essential contribute at their satisfaction, however of other parts interested in our performance in environment protection. The established quality and environment objectives and targets are presented in the following appendix, integrated in this policy;
  • the particularization and planning of the specific quality and environment objectives and targets, for all functions involved and their annual review, or more frequently, if there are customer’s requirements, by the concern of top management;
  • the engagement of the top management and also the engagement of all functions involved for compliance with specified customer’s requirements or with the quality environment management system’s regulations;
  • continual improvement of performances and effectiveness of quality environment management system;
  • communication of system requirements to all functions involved, so they are clearly understood and assumed;
  • Conformity with legal and regulatory requirements, applicable to our products, processes, services and activities;
  • Systematic action through the pollution prevention by:

    • promoting of technologies, materials and projects with low environmental impact;
    • collecting, sorting and recycling of disposals, by categories ( metallic, non-metallic, used oil, waste paper);
    • controlled elimination of non-recycling disposal;
    • controlled and administrate of dangerous chemical substances;
    • conformity with legal emissions limits of hexavalent chrome, trivalent chrome, cyanide, oil, zinc, water suspensions in waste water evacuated in sewerage;
    • minimization, by ventilation, of air pollutant from work area and dispersion in the environment and filtration where is possible;
    • conformity with legal limits of noise levels inside workspaces and in environment;
    • maintenance and proper exploitation of technical equipments;
    • employees education, instruction and motivation for working in responsible way for environment and propagate a proactive mentality for environmental protection;

    • Minimization of inputs (raw materials, materials and natural resources) and their proper capitalization by:

    • minimization of energy inputs;
    • minimization of raw materials quantities by improvement of utilization efficiency, in conformity with customers requirements;
    • minimization of mineral oil inputs;
    • minimization of water input;
    • minimization of dangerous chemical substances inputs;

    • Reliability, gaining by our conformation to the legal and regulatory referring to the environmental protection;
    • Contract assessment to our products and services suppliers for adopting the same environmental principles;
    • Annual review, if necessary even often, of how the quality and environmental policy is implemented and functional and proper updating, if necessary;
    • Quality and environmental objectives and policies integration to comply with the others policies of our organization.

Principles and action lines presented have to represent the basis reference for the quality and environment objectives and targets, which will propose ourselves.

It is the top management responsibility to ensure that this quality policy is well known, understood, followed and maintained by all the employees, and at all organization levels.

The present quality and environment policy applies to all products, processes and activities performed by S.C. COMPA S.A. In this way, the responsibilities and authorities of the implicated functions are defined in this manual.

Application of this quality policy represents a priority for the top management of the organization.
